At the heart of communication is human connection. As a writer, you are compelled to share your ideas, expertise, and unique vision. You seek to grow your readership and make an impact. My goal is to help you achieve yours.
My editorial trajectory began on the scholarly side in Montreal. Relocating to Toronto, I built my career at different imprints of what would become Penguin Random House Canada. As an editor, I’ve worked with—among others—novelists and translators, journalists and cooks, a criminal profiler, and a prime minister. Along the way, books I’ve edited have won or been nominated for many prestigious awards.
Of course, not every writer's destiny is to be standing on a podium in a room packed with glitterati, attractive as that sounds! No matter the genre or medium a writer is exploring, one of the primary tasks is to determine who your audience is, and what you want to offer them through your work. Maybe it’s information or maybe it’s inspiration; it could be life-altering or life-enhancing, side-splitting or sobering. Whatever you have to say, there comes a time when you need someone whose fresh eyes and passion for communication will help you see what’s working and what potential has yet to be unlocked.
